5 Ways to Treat Yourself to a Spa Experience at Home

Who doesn't love a little self-care? As we head into the weekend, I am sharing five ways you can treat yourself to a spa-like experience right in your own home.

GRAB YOUR FAVORITE ESSENTIAL OILS
I love to keep essential oils in your shower, especially for days like today. Simply sprinkle a few drops of your favorite essential oil (mine is eucalyptus) onto the floor of your shower. As your shower heats up, the steam will spread the aroma of the oil throughout the bathroom. Hop in the shower, take a few deep inhales through your nose and begin to relax / feel your tension melt away.
GET A QUALITY BODY SCRUB
There's something really therapeutic about a good body scrub. It's as if we're able to wash all of our stress / worries away each time we use it. I am currently loving the Coco Rose Body Polish by Herbivore. If you know me well, you know that I'm not a huge floral person when it comes to body care, but I really do love the smell of roses / rose water, which is what this body scrub smells like.

Because you used your body scrub, it is SO important to properly rehydrate your skin. Make sure that whatever you’re using is “clean”, meaning that it’s free of harsh chemicals and toxins. A super easy choice (and something you probably already have in your pantry)? Organic coconut oil. It’s my favorite. Coconut oil is so nourishing and soothing to our skin and in the summer months, it's so cooling.
I use coconut oil on my skin every single day and it is by far my favorite moisturizer I've ever used. I truly believe it's such an underrated beauty product!
