It's been a minute since I've posted a new green smoothie recipe and I tried one recently that I just had to share.
If you're new here, welcome! To know me is to know that I LOVE smoothies! Although I absolutely hated chemistry in college, I DO enjoy the excitement of experimenting with blending up different fruits and veggies to create a new and exciting smoothie.
I also love gathering inspiration from other fellow health freaks lovers like myself and I've been seeing this green smoothie recipe by actress Jenna Dewan floating ALL over the internet over the last few years, so I finally decided to give it a try.
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 handful of romaine
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1/2 cucumber, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 apple, quartered
- 1 banana, chopped (I used a frozen banana so I wouldn't have to add ice)
- 1 pear, quartered
- 1/4 cup spirulina powder (optional)
- Juice of one lemon
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender, mix, enjoy!
This smoothie is SO easy to make, is hydrating, has lots of fiber and is packed with veggies!
